New Hampshire now requires parental notification when minors seek abortions.

The feminist left complains that this ends New Hampshire's proud libertarian tradition of "medical privacy."

My brother once took my daughter to the doctor to get a cut stitched up. They called me and told me I would either have to come in and sign a parental permission slip for the stitches, or fax in a statement that I gave my permission.

I've had to give my explicit written permission for every medical procedure, however minor, my children have undergone. I assume it's the same in New Hampshire.

It's just absurd for anyone to grump about this law on the grounds that it abrogates some mythical right to medical privacy for minors.
