The Quilt of the Unborn Child.

"The next morning I woke up with horrendous grief and tears that would not be quenched. Brian took me in his arms and said: 'What’s in the past is in the past. Let’s not talk about it anymore’. He was trying to comfort me the best way he knew how, but he was hurting too. There was nothing left in him to help me through this. So we didn’t talk. And the rage grew, but I controlled it. That’s how we 'dealt' with our problems for many, many years. It’s as if we had convinced ourselves that if we didn’t talk about things, that they would, by some miracle, just go away. We were wrong."
