Operation Save America is a group of street preachers who display pictures of aborted fetuses as part of their anti-abortion activism. During July they have been in North Carolina. In Charlotte, they went to an evangelical church one Sunday and displayed those pictures outside the church. This interesting exchange of letters between Operation Save America and members of that church who were offended by the pictures talks about the effect that such photos might have on a woman who has had an abortion.

The first time I saw such a photo---a stranger sent it to me in an email, knowing that I have had an abortion--I was swept by waves of horror and intense self-loathing. I later was glad to have seen it.
