This interesting article from the International Journal of Social Psychiatry 1993 39(4):255-65 about Post-abortion perceptions: a comparison of self-identified distressed and nondistressed populations says that in self-identified nondistressed populations, events such as childbirth retroactively affect one's perception of the abortion. However, the study involved a very small number of women.

"Did your feelings about your abortion change after experiencing a complete pregnancy and birth" would be a good question to research on a much broader scale.
