Ashli talks today about keeping artifacts from the abortion clinic as a way to have a physical connection to the child.

I heard recently about a woman who was given her child's ultrasound at the clinic. She didn't ask for it, but once she had it, she took it with her everywhere. She eventually saw a helpful counselor to deal with her feelings of rage, grief and guilt. Ultimately, she bought an urn from her local funeral parlor--the kind used for ashes. She folded up the ultrasound, along with a letter she had written to her child and a lock of her hair, tied it up with a ribbon and put this all in the urn. She then took it back to the funeral parlor along with instructions that this urn is to be placed with her in her casket when she dies.
