Here, a call for better support systems for Mexican women who abort.

Ojeda gathered from the surveys that Mexican women who have undergone an abortion usually do not have physical or psychological support afterwards primarily because abortion is still illegal in Mexico.

“These women are very alone. They are afraid to talk to others about their experience and have no support for a recovery process,” Ojeda concluded.

Hm. This suggests that it is important to talk to others about the experience and to have support for both a psychological and physical recovery process. That's an idea that many fans of abortion consider to be counter-revolutionary.

Meanwhile, what would really be ideal is if poor Mexican women had the kind of support in their families and society that allowed them to make a choice for life.
