A reflection for Mother's Day. An insightful column from an Indiana newspaper:

I’ve also discovered that this holiday is actually pretty complex for many people.

The telephone companies say that Mother’s Day is their busiest day of the year, and Hallmark declares this as their favorite holiday after Christmas. And yet many people are not happy on this special day of honoring mothers.

Strained relationships over past hurts make this an awkward day for many.

Emotions can magnify to seemingly suffocate those who have struggled with infertility, abortion, miscarriages, or the death of a child in some other way.
