Another "escort" story, from a man who changed his mind about what he did. By Peter Nixon, of the now only-archived blog Sursum Corda. Thanks, Peter, for your honesty and for the link I couldn't find.
The part that pierced my heart and that I've quoted ever since: "I was willing to walk with a woman for the two minutes it took her to walk from the car to the clinic door. But I wasn’t offering to walk with her if she changed her mind, to walk with her for months, or years if necessary. Rather than enabling her freedom, I was merely one more link in a chain, one more wall in a maze."
Please don't pass this one by, folks. It's worth reading every word.
