Holly Patterson's family files the lawsuit over their daughter's death from RU-486, the "Abortion Pill." The suit claims "wrongful death and product liability."

The suit names Danco Labs, the drug's maker, and "the New York City-based Population Council, which sponsored the development of Mifeprex; the emergency room doctor who treated Holly Patterson; Planned Parenthood Golden Gate, whose Hayward clinic provided Holly with Mifeprex; and ValleyCare Health System, which operates the Pleasanton hospital where Holly died."

Emily posted on this story here, first in September 2003.

For prior posts we did on RU-486, its dangers and results, see this and this (there were others too numerous to list, by both Em and Theresa in the past).
