Years after abortion, author finds healing.

From the Sunday edition of the Times Recorder:
ZANESVILLE - Joyce Prouty Schneider spent years punishing herself with guilt for a single decision made in 1985 - a decision to have an abortion.

Schneider, now 45, has found a way to forgive herself through the power of the Lord and wants to help other women who have experienced the loss of a child, whether it be through abortion, miscarriage or stillborn birth. Schneider is the author of Chili and Chocolate Cake ... My Recipe for Staying Anchored in the Storms of Life.

"I'm not a therapist. I'm not a preacher. I'm just a real person who has done some really bad things and have learned you can be healed of these things," Schneider said in a phone interview from her Naples, Fla. home on Friday.
