Well, I'm finally back. My husband and I spent an amazing week in California and returned on Sunday. Once home, we were in the middle of an intense summer storm that electrocuted our phone lines and fried my computer's modem. (We live in the country where we don't have cable or broadband access to the internet.) We're still getting repairs done.
Also on Sunday, one of the most active families in my parish lost their 29-year-old son in a tragic boating accident. That funeral is this morning and I ask for your prayers. My heart is breaking for them.
I have so much to say about my experience last week, and lots of catching up to you.
May God bless each of our readers and writers. May we cherish what we have, while we have it.
