Road Trip in Progress
In the service of ultimately delivering my daughter to Gonzaga for her freshman year, we're on a road trip through a part of the country I've never explored.
In a few hours we'll be driving through the Badlands of South Dakota, followed by a visit to Mount Rushmore, ending the day in Gillette, Wyoming.
Yesterday we visited the Corn Palace and the Spam Museum.
Walking outside our hotel this morning in a Holiday Inn near Chamberlain, South Dakota, about half a mile from the Missouri River, the air is cool, clean and sweet. It's an amazing part of the country.
Wednesday evening, I'm meeting a pal from Rachel's Vineyard for dinner in Butte, Montana at a grill where we'll be able to see Our Lady of the Rockies.
Life is good.
