Remorseful women seek healing after abortion, from the Catholic diocesan newspaper in Joliet, Illinois:

ROMEOVILLE—Searching for support and forgiveness after ending a pregnancy through abortion, many remorseful participants have discussed the matter with Benedictine Father Paschal Honner over the years along with other program leaders during biannual Rachel’s Vineyard weekend retreats sponsored by the Life Office of the Diocese of Joliet.

“The fact that they see a priest makes it easier. They realize that the Catholic Church is there to help them,” said the 76-year-old monk of St. Procopius Abbey in Lisle. “They understand that they can be reconciled,” added the dedicated priest who routinely celebrates Masses for congregants during the retreat.
