Yonkers Mayor Philip Amicone will, by Mayoral Proclamation, declare the week of January 20th as Respect Life Week in the city of Yonkers.

It is pretty amazing that the mayor is doing this and it would be a great way to have our voices heard.

An important event to attend and support! Sun, January 20 at 2 p.m. A FIRST FOR YONKERS!

Yonkers Mayor Philip Amicone will, by Mayoral Proclamation, declare the week of January 20th as Respect Life Week in the city of Yonkers. He will be holding a press conference outside the steps of City Hall at 40 South Broadway this Sunday.
The Mayor's staff has requested that we try to get as many people as possible to the press conference. Please try to attend and spread the word. The event should last no longer than 20 - 30 minutes.

You may park in the city municipal garage on Nepperhan Avenue, directly behind City Hall. At the top of the garage you will see the area for the press conference.
LET US SHOW MAYOR AMICONE, BY OUR ATTENDANCE, THAT WE FULLY SUPPORT HIS ACTION AND SHOW THAT YONKERS IS A CITY THAT RESPECTS LIFE AND FAMILY!

The following will be the themes of the press conference: protection of unborn children; assistance for women who find themselves with an unplanned pregnancy; and healing for those who have been through the abortion experience.

3) Article 19 of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights: "Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers."
