The Sixth Day of Christmas

Because the Feast of the Holy Family is normally today, December 30, it's celebrated on the Sunday between Christmas and New Year's Day, so that more of the faithful can celebrate it when they attend Sunday Mass.

But there are 9 saints who are celebrated today on the Sixth Day of the Octave of Christmas, none of whom I'd ever heard of, so it was a good little history lesson for me too (I especially liked Saint Anysia, spitting in the face of the Roman soldier--a woman after my own heart!):
