You Say Tomay-to, I Say Tomah-to…
Terry Kerry says “Shove it” to a journalist, and Dick Cheney used a four-letter word last month to Senator Leahy. Cheney gets reamed and raked over the coals (and even several days without mercy in "Doonesbury," no less), and TK is “given a lot of credit” and “with the Heinz fortune behind her, [she] can pretty much say anything she wants” and is said to be “human.”
Those quotes courtesy of elected Connecticut Democrat delegates present at the DNC, thank you.
The one that got me the most was the chairman of the Connecticut Democratic State Central Committee, who said, “Unlike Cheney, she kept her language clean.”
Forgive me for being so blunt, but what does he think the unspoken, rest of the phrase “Shove it---” goes like? Rhymes with “cup your glass,” last time I heard.
Terry Kerry is not “feisty.” Crass is as crass does. Neither of them should have said what they said. But welcome to Major Media Yellow Journalism, Part Umpteen.
