The Post Abortion Symposium put on by our Lumina friend Theresa last Saturday was enormously effective. Theresa writes:
Theresa Burke [of Rachel's Vineyard] & Georgette Forney [of Silent No More Awareness Campaign] were keynote speakers. Joel Brind, Ph.D. [Professor of biology and endocrinology at Baruch College of the City University of NY and President of the Breast Cancer Prevention Institute] spoke on Abortion/Breast Cancer research; Rev. Scott Miller spoke on Men & Abortion; Rev. George Stewart held clergy workshops and I did the Reaching Out With Compassion To The Post-Abortive workshops. We had 130 attendees, a very diverse group: doctors, nurses, teachers, not the regular pro-life crowd. Mostly all people I have never seen before.
