CNN and Others: Drenched in the Sweat of Fear

We asked our readers on Christmas Day to pray for persecuted Christians worldwide.

We'd like to ask all now to pray for all persecuted because of their choice of religion or choice to not have one or just to practice their right of free speech, to blog without fear of being flogged to death, to draw images, to write words...and yes, even to ask for prayers for those who work at places like CNN.

Because now, CNN and other such news media folks are feeling, for likely the first time, the taste and smell of personal fear, in much the same way that many Christians and Jews throughout the world feel it so keenly, perhaps most especially in the Middle East.

As we write in our Fair Use/ Copyright Notice at the bottom of both blogs,

The opinions expressed herein are protected expression by virtue of the First Amendment of the United States of America and by Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, signed by the U.S.A. in 1948: "Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers."

Unfortunately, Saudi Arabia does not appear to have been a UDHR co-signer. Certainly, rogue militants and terrorists wouldn't have, either.
